Native #iOS Honeycomb Grid Navigation Winners!

Incase you were living under a rock for the past week or so, CloudSpokes has been launching software development challenges like crazy. You could say it was a special couple of weeks that made our members happier than a body builder directing traffic, or you could say it was a sign of the epic-ness that is to come. We think both are appropriate.

It was a special two weeks because we have never, in our existence, had so many challenges open and so much prize money up for grabs. Enough so that we even launched Code Blitz! And like 25+ challenges and almost 30K in winnings wasn't crazy enough.

Well one of the best parts of the past week was that we had almost every type of challenge imaginable. Of course our usual suspects of Google Apps, Salesforce, Smartsheet and MESH01. We also had some rare breeds though, such as, OpenTok, Sencha Touch, Visualforce and even iOS. Including this challenge that, was launched in the heart of it all on a Thursday and only ran through the following Monday.

It had been a while since we had an iOS challenge, but this one was sure to catch some stares. A Native iOS Honeycomb Grid Navigation component built specifically for the iPad. Not only does the name sound delicious, but the prize money was too.

We ended up getting 6 submissions and the sponsor was blown away with the results. So much so that they even added a 3rd place prize for $500, pushing this challenge to $2,750 in prize money!

With that being said, a huge congrats to ishabazz, acerbetti and talesforce (is there anything this guy can't do?) for a job really well done. Make sure to check out the demo videos by acerbetti and talesforce below.
